Sent with love

As a kid I always preferred cuddly monkeys to teddy bears, still do if I'm honest but here is a cute little chap from My Favorite Things that I sent to my sweet husband for Valentine's Day!!

I opted for my favourite "no lines" technique, it gives a lovely soft appearance, quite apt for this adorable little bear.

A long time coming........

Oh goodness, way back in November I travelled across the pond to Arizona to go meet my good friend Jennifer Dove and attend her Copic Bootcamp.

I got to see the Grand Canyon, travel through two deserts and caught sight of my first ever Road Runner - although my attempts at photographing the darned thing were abysmal!

I started colouring this stamp (Southwest Mountain - CC Designs) soon after I returned, but things kept getting in the way and it's been hanging around in the studio waiting for me to find the time to finish it.

Ta da - I finally added the last touch of Copics to it on Sunday.  I adore the warm colours and it will forever remind me of my first trip to Jenn's part of the world..........hope you like it.

I could do with a laugh!

Sometimes life gives you lemons......sound familiar?  Well I don't know about you but I could do with a laugh at the moment.......so here's a goofy man with balloons on his head to put a smile on your face!

I haven't played with my pencils in a while and it was really nice to use them again!  And this happy chap reminded me that we used to have modelling balloons when my son was small and believe it or not I could actually make a balloon dog - hee hee,  you did need a little imagination sometimes to work out it was a dog, but hey Ben didn't seem to mind!

Well, short and sweet today - I'm off to the vets with our Westie for her annual check-up and jabs!
