Without Words November Challenge

Keep it simple
No need for bling
if that's how you like it
then come
join in!!!

Without Words Challenge

This month the theme is:

Whizz Bang
(think vibrant colours of fireworks)

OK, for those non Brits out there who might not know why we have fireworks
on
November 5th
"Bonfire Night"

We celebrate the fact that in 1605 a man by the name of Guy Fawkes
tried and failed to blow up the Houses of Parliament!!

We even have a little rhyme about it

Remember, remember the fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
We see no reason
why gunpowder treason
should ever be forgot

Well I think that is enough history for today, don't you,
so here is my creation:

......and not a firework in sight....just bright zingy colours!!!
(and sparkle courtesy of glitter glue)

Thought I would have some fun & gave Dani lacy tights!!

SUPPLIES
Dani with Gifts by Mo Manning
Eskimo Kisses paper pad by Basic Grey
Stickles glue
Copics
Ribbon from stash

Now please remember the rules:

Put away your doilies, flowers and bling
it has to be
Clean and simple
if you want to win!
(sentiments are allowed)

Please post your entries HERE

.......as for me, well I thought I might enter Dani in a couple of challenges too
Crafty Ribbons - Christmas
Stamping for the Weekend - #20 Anything goes
Sweet Stamping - Allthat glitters
One Stop Craft Challenge - Fireworks theme

  12. Hi Jane! Your coloring is always beyond perfection, if I may say so. Dani looks gorgeous in her wintry outfit and the colors are perfect, just like the fireworks:)
Thanks for remembering us about Guy Fawkes; seems like yesterday we learnt about that in my English class. I even have a pic of the page in my mind:)
Oh, and thank you for supporting Mo's challenges; it's always a pleasure to have you around:)

Thanks for joining in with us this week at Sweet Stampin.

PS - My daughter (whose 5) came home from school today and said that they'd been learning about some people I might not know about - Guy Fawkes being one of them! She was quite surprised that I knew who he was!!

I had not heard the poem or the reason of the firworks, so your history lesson was very interesting for me.

  20. Awesome colouring as always. Maybe I can hire your cute little shopper to do some of my own Christmas shopping. But given that she is 'across the pond' it might be a little far for her to come help me out. Oh well, I guess I'm stuck doing it myself.
