Just when you thought you'd seen all my Christmas cards......
Ha ha fooled you!
Ha ha fooled you!
Well, I have seriously OD'd on uber CAS cards - I wanted to get my teeth into a more challenging digi - and when that urge takes me I need look no further than my Mo Manning Collection!
Unfortunately I made my usual mistake of being a tad too keen to colour the image and forgot to check my vast array of background papers inorder to colour match first ......... V91, V93 & V95 combine to make such a pretty grey lavender colour but I had nothing quite that shade, hence I added a touch of ribbon either side so your eye is drawn away from the colour difference, well that was my plan! Has it worked?
Here is Noelle for her close up
I am still working on using complimentary colours for shadows & depth instead of grabbing the greys, but I made bit of a blooper choosing a mustard colour to use with the lavender grey coat - oops! I should really learn to test it out on spare card first - if the colourless blender had not been able to remove most of it the saying "another one bites the dust" may well have applied here!

Well if you'd not mentioned the mustard I'd not have noticed! And well done on blending image with paper by using the ribbon hun - I thought it was just me that did things like this but it so reassuring to know it's not, lol. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous. Hugs Sxx
ReplyDeleteOh Jane, this is adorable! I know what you mean about colouring first. I think that is why it takes me so long to complete a card. I complete the image and then don't know what to do with it.

As you can see from my usual colorings.. I definitely don't plan ahead... and measure twice cut once... who said that applies? Anyway, this image is gorgeous as are all your colored images.
