Something different

I was tidying my studio today & came across one of my old sketch books.  Thumbing through the pages I found a figure I drew many, many years ago & thought I'd share it with you......

Portrait in colour pencil

I always used to work in coloured pencil back then, mainly Caran D'ache on cartridge paper.

She's always been a favourite of mine & it seemed such a shame to keep her hidden!

Your very talented Jane. You mentioned in a previous blog that you used to do portraits, do you still do them? You should. The detailing in the folds of her clothes are amazing. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. I am always so impressed with other peoples talents.

Wow, thank you everyone :0)

Stephanie, I haven't painted portraits for about 7 years now. But I do have a pencil portrait that's been in progress for far too long - I must get it finished!! If you scroll down to "Categories" and click on "Portraits" you'll see 3 of my favourite watercolours....
