It's a boy thing!

It's time for another Pike's Playground Challenge

"It's a boy thing"

Anything goes for this one as long as it's suitable for the male of the species!!

This is my interpretation:

Now if my husband is reading this blog entry,( I know he does) honey you need to develop amnesia - you have not seen this card.......

Copics colours used
Image: Dustin Pike "Read with me" available HERE
Paper: DCWV All About Boys stack
Colouring: Copics (see above for colours)
Additional: Quickutz dies, ribbon from stash, chalk ink

Why not join in, with Father's Day coming up on June 19 (UK & USA) you've got a great reason to get those creative juices flowing.

You'll score brownie points for making the card & Pike's Points for entering it into the competion!!

I really like your card. That background paper fits perfectly with the image! Maybe someday I can learn to color like you do. I have to use Photoshop so I can fix all of my mistakes!

Jane .. where do you find all your lovely background papers.
It's getting harder and harder to find a shop in our area that stocks a nice selection of papers.
Buying online is not the same I love to see what I'm buying.

Is there anywhere special you buy from?

That particular stack I got from Michaels or Joanns in USA 2 years ago, sorry Ros!! I know what you mean though, I try to buy pads/packs these days so they co-ordinate, or like in this card I drew Octopi on each of the 8 cards to match the background paper!!!

I love the color combo. I'm a big fan of teals, blues and greens and this card just makes me smile. PERFECT!

Jane you crack me up! I did the same thing - I posted my Dad's card on my blog and I realized that his town showed up last night on my visitor's feed - lol Oh well, I may have to do another card. What I need is a 48 hour day. I love the card- it is so cute. His stamps are so darling. I tried my new papers yesterday and they work like a charm with my copics - no more bleeding!!! Thank you for all your tips and beautiful work.

I am so glad to hear that the paper is working out for you Dania - I'm sure you'll get so much more enjoyment from using your Copics now ♥
