Crafty hugs

Easter Eggs.......yum!

Unfortunately for me, lingual braces will put pay to eating chocolate eggs for the next 2 years ........choccie buttons are about all I can manage (and one of those took a bracket off - oops)

Ho, hum, at least I can still colour........well when the old gnashers aren't aching too much.......for all you teens out there with a face full of metal like me........you have my sympathies!!!

Anyway, enough whining Jane, show off your newest colouring....

Although this is quite a simple layout the colouring was not - the background is predominantly Copic, Emma, however has had a lot of pencil enhancement.

What do you think of the daisies?  They were so easy to do........and went well with the flower in Emma's hair.

I used my water-soluble Caran D'Ache Supracolor II white pencil, wet the lead to get it soft and then created daisies using dots and once dry I was able to add a little yellow centre. The odd stalk drawn in pencil was added too.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Kissy kissy!

We are getting all loved up at Tiddly Inks for our new challenge!

I've chosen a couple of adorable hedgehogs

(and the image is currently only $1 in store!)

Quite a simple card this time I'm afraid.........I'm still having "fun" adjusting to the lingual braces I have had fitted to my teeth in December......and it's playing havoc with my crafting!

Ho hum, I'm sure it will get better soon (I hope) and then I'll be colouring up a storm like a woman possessed and posting/sharing lots of new stuff!

Lets just it's a bit of a "Tiddler", so much so I've named it Peewee!

I'm being just a wee bit krafty!

Well hello there, how are you this fine September morning?

Ready for another Tiddly Inks Challenge I hope!!

This time we have a theme that I loved working on - Kraft (card)

and of course I used my coloured pencils......woo hoo!!

As a Brit I am not too familiar with Cowboy hats - yes I've seen them in the movies and on TV but hey I'm an English farmers wife, I'm more used to beanies and baseball caps!!

So I googled for images to ensure I got the shadows right.
 It was that brim that caused me issues and seeing real hats and how the light hits the bend of the brim really helped when colouring Cowgirl Wryn.

Don't be square

Todays challenge over at Tiddly Inks is to create a card that's not square!

Pretty easy eh!

Yet another no lines creation!

(for those new to this, it simply means the image has been printed in pale grey (no black lines) so when colour is added the lines ny on disappear, enabling you to achieve a much softer looking image)

With digital images it is still quite easy to do "no lines colouring" - you just have to adjust the opacity of your image prior to printing it!
