Adorable sentiment. As the proud mom of a 4 year old son, yes it was!

I love the colouring and the staining on the frame border.

You know how much I love my Copics..
But your skills with a pencil are amazing.
Love the grain on Dudley, what paper are you currently using Jane?
You always choose just the right backing paper.

Thank you for all the kind words - I am definitely loving using my pencils again!!

To answer your question Ros, I am currently using Craft Creations Creative Smooth - I always used to work in pencil on Cartridge Paper, but it didn't like the printer ink. It is perhaps a tad too smooth, it does smudge if I'm not careful, but I blast it with hairspray when I'm done to fix it.
