Hand Coloured Copic Chart

How many of you use a
Copic Marker
Hand Colour Chart?
From the early days when I only had a few markers it was a progress chart as my collection grew!
But as my box filled and my skill level improved it took on a whole new role.
Now it is my
"Go To Reference Guide"
for
Colour matching with Designer Papers
and of course
an example of the true colours when colouring/blending

Probably most of you have one of these coloured up already
but if you haven't you can download one from Here

(NB print it on the same card you use for your Copic colouring)

Why am I mentioning this today?
Well for a while now my colour matching has been ....lets just say a bit off.
my hand coloured chart was done after the last release of new colours,
it's been stuck on the wall near my desk and is often bathed in sunlight
and some of the colours have changed without me realising

The chart on the left is the old one
can you see that some of the BV's have gone a tad pink?

Here is my nice new chart

(for some reason the Fluorescents have not scanned well)
(they do zing - I promise)

Oh and if you are wondering what the little tiny pink dots mean......
it is just my way of marking which colours I have refills for!!

So if you have one of these little beauties coloured up already I'd recommend checking it every now and then to make sure the colours are still true.

Christmas Elf

Oh boy the thunder was loud last night, but at least it means it is a tad cooler today.
I got so hot in my studio yesterday I kept sticking to my chair!!!

Anyway here is the card I was working on
using some of the scrummy stash I got at Stampfest whilst in Orlando

SUPPLIES
Elf sentiment - Stampendous
DP - Small Poinsettias on white - Craft Creations Ltd
Copics
Ribbon from stash

I had never seen these "tin pins" before and I thought they would add a little extra
something to some of my Christmas cards this year!

Thanks for dropping by

Think cool thoughts........

How are you doing in the heat?

Well, this freckle faced Brit is coping....just!

Ha ha, apart from sending her laptop haywire whilst still dealing with jet lag!
Word of warning to all......don't fiddle with technology whilst your brain is still half-way across the Atlantic!

It also helps to remember "the safe place" you put your memory stick whilst on holiday
(yep the one that holds your entire digital stamp collection)

after nearly 3 hours of frantic searching and a ticking off from hubby for not having a back-up copy I finally had a "doh" moment and located it!!
(and yes I now have a 2nd memory stick)

Suffice it to say my studio looked like a bomb had hit it after the search
and having tried to work around the mayhem for a few days
the neat freak within could take no more!!!

I sit here with a smile......
all my stash is boxed, shelved and labelled

Now as the post title says ....think cool thoughts...
so what else could I make for my first crafting project but a
Christmas card!!!!

SUPPLIES
Little Elf Mim - Mo Manning
DP- Wonderland Paper Pad by Studio Calico
Flat backed Pearls
Copics

And the plan is to get back to regular blogging.....well that is after (or whilst if I don't get caught) I have stripped and repainted our patio furniture.

Let's hope I do a better job of the chairs than I did of poor Roo's* haircut.....or should I say "scare-cut" - she should be OK to be seen in public by erm August!
(*Roo is our West Highland White Terrier)

Well that's me done for now, off to start those chairs

Enjoy the sunshine, drink plenty of liquids and don't forget the sunscreen!
