Playing with Fluorescent Copics

How many of you have these little babies?

Well a couple of us girlies over on the Make it Crafty Team decided to have a play with the Fluorescent colours..................

Believe it or not this picture contains all of them
FRV1
FYR1
FY1
FYG1
FV2
FYG2
FBG2
FB2

Now the one thing I noticed is that they don't tend to play nice with other Copics - the dress has completely lost its glow when I blended FY1 with other yellows to create the folds etc.

FRV1 is the friendliest and does keep some of it's punch, but then there are some very zingy pinks for it to play with!

They are nice to have, but if I am honest I don't think I will be needing refills any time soon.

On the plus side - they do glow, so if you need stand alone colours that pack a punch then these little beauties will do the job.

All in all, quite a fun and interesting experiment!

If you have some, I'd love to hear your thoughts - have you found a way of making them play nice or are they as unsociable for you as they were for me?

I LOVE that pink!! I don't have many copics, and none of the flourescents, but I did recently get the new neon prismas and am loving playing with those a bit in my projects.

I am welcoming back the neon craze! Yep, I was one of those, dressed in brights a "few" years ago when it was first in fashion. Can't help it, I love color!

Hiya Jane, your colouring on this looks stunning! just love how you have shaded all the yellow. Not sure I would use those copics, I struggle to use brighter ones I have at the best of times, I take your opnion though so I wont be rushing to get any lol. Joey xxx

WELL I LOVE IT LOL!

You know ..not that I'm a big big fan but the Mepxy markers tend to be bright like the neons. They almost/well do colour fluorescent to me and they blend sooooooo goood! I don't have many. What I have are two boxes that were given to me at CHA to play with them.

I have 6 basic colours but boy they have high pigment ink and could pass for flurescent neon colours:)

ANYWHOO YOU ROCK! Where is the skin recipe woman I can't find it lol!!!!
